Extra Credit
Trip Journal

This is an extra credit opportunity that is available for every student once during each school year.

The directions are fairly simple. If you are going to miss school because of a trip, you can keep a journal of the trip to turn in for extra credit to help make up for assignments you missed. Things to include in the journal:

• A hand written (cursive!) account of what you did each day. Don't skimp. Write a page or two (single spaced) for each day you are gone.
• Pictures of you at the various locations you visited.
• Artifacts you collected on the way: maps, post cards, menus, tickets to events, foreign money--anything! Be creative.
• Optional, but cool:  Any drawings you draw of where you were, saw, etc.
• Put your name in your journal! You'd be surprised how often I get journals with no name.

This is more for special trips rather than just leaving early for Thanksgiving or winter break--if you know you have other trips planned, you might want to save it for later--they can only do this once for credit.
